A slab takeoff that captures concrete but misses reinforcement can produce a bid that looks complete while still being materially underpriced. Estimators need to review structural plans, schedules, sections, and details to understand how reinforcement changes across the project.
A basic template can record those quantities. It cannot review the drawings and determine what reinforcement belongs in each location.
